Jason Myers
Partner Jason Myers (Real Estate, Dallas, 2019-2021 and 2024-present) focuses his practice on commercial real estate, energy and finance. He executes large-scale deals with a multifaceted approach shaped not only by his years in private practice, but by business and legal experience earned working in a global private equity firm and for a real estate developer and independent power producer. That background informs the way he works: identifying issues early, finding practical solutions and bringing a business-minded sensibility to every transaction.

Patel
Alumna Malissa Patel (Real Estate, Dallas, 2022-2025) now serves as counsel to Vistra Corp., a Texas-based retail electricity and power generation company. At Vistra, Malissa applies her experience at Barnes & Thornburg – what she described as “the cross-section of energy and real estate” – to manage the Fortune 500 company’s real estate portfolio and negotiate complex transactions spanning coal, gas, renewable and nuclear energy.

Alumnus Casey Campbell (Intellectual Property, Chicago/New York, 2018–2024) serves as acting general counsel for three separate start-up companies focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics and wireless technologies: Figure AI, a humanoid robotics company; Hark, an AI lab focused on agentic AI; and Cover, an AI-powered weapons detection platform designed to detect weapons in schools and public venues.
