Barnes & Thornburg Atlanta Office Named to ‘Best Places to Work’ List

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named Barnes & Thornburg as one of Atlanta’s “Best Places to Work” as part of its 15th annual ranking of 100 metro area companies.

Barnes & Thornburg, which has nearly 70 attorneys and other professionals in its Atlanta office, ranked fifth in the medium-sized company category for “having created an exceptional workplace and culture that their employees value highly.” Winners of the prestigious award were honored by the publication at an event held on Sept. 2, 2021.

“It’s a privilege to be named to this significant workplace ranking because it is based on the voices of our own employees,” said John T.L. Koenig, managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office. “This recognition is a testament to the culture we have built within our Atlanta office as we all seek to support our clients and their endeavors.”

Totaling more than 500 entries, award applicants were evaluated and ranked across four categories according to the number of Atlanta Area employees. This year’s results highlight Barnes & Thornburg employee satisfaction in six key engagement areas including: team dynamics, trust in leadership, communication and resources, manager effectiveness, and personal engagement.

Best Places to Work is an innovative publication and awards program produced by Atlanta Business Chronicle. The rankings were determined by surveys conducted by Quantum Workplace, the national research partner of American City Business Journals for Best Places to Work.

With more than 700 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, Boston, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
