What: Life Sciences Lunch Series - Chronic Pain and the Global Pain Initiative

When: September 15, 2013 | 11:30 a.m. (ET) Registration and Lunch | 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (ET) Presentation - Adjournment will be on time

Program Description: Chronic pain affects 100 million American adults - more than heart disease, cancer and diabetes combined. In its landmark white paper, the Institute of Medicine states, "addressing the enormous burden of pain will require a cultural transformation in the way pain is understood, assessed and treated." Please join us for this month's program as we explore the landscape of chronic pain and announce The Global Pain Initiative - a program of the National Pain Foundation - designed to raise awareness and begin to build the most comprehensive observational database on people with chronic pain, their behaviors, treatments, and needs.

LeeAnne Nash of Nash Performance and Dr. Dan Bennett of the National Pain Foundation
