The U.S. Department of Labor is turning up the heat on employers—with its recently proposed guidelines that will qualify currently exempt workers for overtime. The DOL also issued an interpretation that most workers qualify as “employees” – not “independent contractors” under the law. We’ll talk about the FLSA developments and steps to take to manage the increasing wage and hour risks.
