Kate Stone provides a strategic and creative perspective in the defense of companies in a broad range of high-stakes litigation. A skilled and knowledgeable litigator, Kate quickly analyzes complex disputes, puts an effective game plan in place, and defends client interests in the most efficient way possible.

Kate Stone provides a strategic and creative perspective in the defense of companies in a broad range of high-stakes litigation. A skilled and knowledgeable litigator, Kate quickly analyzes complex disputes, puts an effective game plan in place, and defends client interests in the most efficient way possible.

Kate counsels major pharmaceutical, medical device, and health and life sciences companies in product liability and mass tort matters. Her product liability experience is focused on prescription medications, medical devices and consumer goods. Kate’s practice primarily involves multidistrict litigation and coordinated state proceedings.  

A creative strategist, Kate has handled cases involving thousands of plaintiffs and those involving single-plaintiff disputes. She has deep experience in virtually all phases of product liability litigation, from fact and expert discovery through trial to verdict.  

Kate also has experience advocating for clients in complex business, commercial, and real estate litigation. She has defended clients in intellectual property, insurance defense, business tort, redevelopment, environmental and public contract disputes and class actions. A former Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division law clerk, Kate also has a deep understanding of successful appellate strategies and procedures.  

As a leader and passionate advocate, Kate also maintains an active pro bono practice in which she helps indigent clients obtain criminal expungements.
