Dallas Office Recognized As 2022 Best Place for Working Parents®

DALLAS - The Dallas office of Barnes & Thornburg has been named a 2022 Best Place for Working Parents®. The award highlights companies that offer family-friendly policies and practices to support employees, specifically working parents.

The designation is gained through completing a self-assessment that reviews 10 family-friendly policies, including company-paid healthcare coverage, paid time off, parental leave, nursing benefits, child care assistance, backup child care, flexible hours, and remote work. This is the second year in a row that the Dallas office has received this recognition.

Barnes & Thornburg’s parental leave policy affords 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave to all teammates, inclusive of adoption. Additionally, the firm has a Talent Resource Group for working parents and allies, BTParents. This group exists to provide a supportive network for parents and allies.

In the Dallas office, there are several ways families are incorporated into workplace activities, including hosting a family-friendly annual event for clients; Bring Your Child to Work Day; a Halloween event; and including our teammates’ children in the monthly office birthday video message.

With more than 700 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, Boston, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
