Through her work, Alexa is regularly in direct contact with clients and government entities, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service.
Specifically, she assists with non-immigrant versus immigrant visas and green card related matters including H-1B visas, H-2B visas, L-1A and L-1B visas for intracompany transferees, TN visas, PERM, I-140 petitions, N-400 petitions, and I-485 petitions. She also works on K-1 visas, E-3 visas, O-1 visas, R-1 visas, employment authorization applications, and advance parole applications. Alexa performs research, reviews the data provided, drafts petitions and applications for client and attorney review and approval, and submits final versions to the relevant entity.
Alexa developed an interest in labor and employment and particularly the intersection with international law, while earning her undergraduate degree. While taking a course in human resources she was introduced to labor and employment issues, and she also studied international trade. She was fascinated by the intersection of those areas of the law, which helped her determine that she wanted to find a role that allow to apply her learnings and help people in connection.
Alexa is currently studying to earn her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, in Indianapolis.
