Barnes & Thornburg Attorney Named to Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Black Leaders & Executives List

CHICAGO– Lindsey D.G. Dates, a partner in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg, has been named to the 2021 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Black Leaders & Executives List, which honors those who are making a difference in contributing to the Chicago-area’s Black community. 

Dates, who is a member of the firm’s litigation department, is deeply involved in working with the Black community. He created and currently serves as the chair of the Don Hubert Scholars Program, a mock-trial competition for at-risk, minority boys. Additionally, he has created the Black Boy Joy experience, a one-day event that consists of seminars, workshops, fun, and games for at-risk minority boys. 

Dates also has had a great impact on diversity at law firms by launching two groundbreaking programs – the Pathway to Partnership Program and the Pathway to Equity Program. 

Crain’s Chicago honored Dates and others in the Dec. 13 edition.
