Barnes & Thornburg has been ranked in the Top 20 of BTI Consulting Group’s 2023 Client Service A-Team list, the firm’s highest ranking to date. BTI’s Survey of Law Firm Client Service Performance recognized the Top 30 law firms based on key aspects of client service delivery.
Corporate counsel are being drawn closer and closer to the business issues, according to the report. They need help from outside counsel to answer tough questions. Barnes & Thornburg, which was ranked No. 20, was recognized as a firm that doubled down on client service, improved communication, beefed up industry knowledge, and became a regular source of critical knowledge for the firm’s clients, leading to its “meteoric rise” in ranking.

BTI Consulting Group surveyed over 350 in-house legal officials and general counsel for their 2023 Client Service A-Team report. The report draws on data collected in BTI’s ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel, which includes between 50% and 55% of companies participating in prior years. This approach provides for accurate analysis of longitudinal trends while simultaneously allowing for insights into new, changing, and coming shifts in the legal market.
