Earlier this year the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Cook Medical’s Hemostatic Spray to stop gastrointestinal bleeding. Although hemostatic sprays have been available since 2011 in Canada, Europe and other areas of the world, endoscopists (and patients) in the United States have not had this therapeutic option available.
