D Magazine Names Barnes & Thornburg Attorneys to ‘Best Lawyers in Dallas’

DALLAS – A leading publication in Dallas, D Magazine, has named Barnes & Thornburg LLP attorneys Elizabeth C. Brandon and Victor D. Vital to its annual “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list.

Brandon, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, was selected in the area of Securities Litigation & Enforcement, while Vital, a fellow litigation partner, was selected in the area of Business Litigation.

The publication recognized 872 attorneys in 40 specialties by surveying peer attorney members of the Texas bar for their thoughts about which attorneys they considered to be among the “current best.”

Brandon handles a variety of complex, high-stakes business disputes and has represented clients in state and federal courts in Texas, Delaware, New York and other jurisdictions. She has represented issuers, directors and officers in securities fraud class actions and litigation arising out of mergers and acquisitions, insider trading, class actions, breach of warranty disputes, breach of contract, fiduciary duty, unfair competition and tortious interference, oil and gas litigation, regulatory compliance and related investigations, among others.

In his more than 20 years of trial practice, Vital has tried more than 100 cases of all types, from civil disputes such as patent litigation, unfair competition, contract disputes, and fraud and tortious interference cases to white collar crimes such as wire fraud and mail fraud, securities fraud, Ponzi cases, money laundering, public corruption and healthcare fraud.

With more than 600 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from 14 offices in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, Texas and Washington, D.C.
