Latest Developments in the USPTO

On April 3, Barnes & Thornburg’s Intellectual Property Department teamed up with ChIPS (Chiefs In Intellectual Property) to welcome Damian Porcari, director of the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional United States Patent and Trademark Office, for a presentation in the Indianapolis office. Hosted by Deborah Pollack-Milgate of the Indianapolis office, he reviewed the latest developments in the USPTO and provided an update on the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Attendees included Barnes & Thornburg attorneys, members of the Indianapolis IP community and Indy ChIPsters. ChIPS is a nonprofit organization that advances and connects women in technology, law and policy.
