Labor Law

Watch On Demand

As expected, the Biden administration has brought a flurry of changes to the legal landscape, and labor law has been no exception.

Indeed, on his very first day in office, the president terminated the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) sitting general counsel - the first time that has ever happened. That action already is impacting companies at the NLRB, and more changes are on the way. In addition, the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (the PRO Act) is working its way through Congress and the president has voiced support for the legislation. Join speakers from our labor group as they break down current happenings at the NLRB, what they expect from that agency in the months and years to come, and a primer on the PRO Act, as well as some practical strategies to consider related to that bill.

If enacted, the PRO Act would be the most significant piece of labor law legislation passed since at least the 1940s, and it would limit and/or eliminate many employers currently enjoy under the National Labor Relations Act. Buckle up, 2021 is looking to be a wild ride.
