On June 3, Clifford Shapiro of the Chicago office spoke before the Chicago Bar Association's Construction Law and Mechanics Lien Subcommittee on the topic of insurance coverage for construction defect claims. The well-attended presentation focused on the "occurrence" issue under Illinois law and the split of authority on this issue in other states around the country.
