Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Columbus office opened in 2009 to better serve the firm’s clients doing business in Ohio, and to offer to Ohio businesses what we believe is a unique platform – a large full-service firm focused on Midwestern and other U.S. markets, plus a value-based approach resulting in effective and cost-effective client service. It is one of four new offices opened by the firm in 2009.
The office was opened by established Ohio practitioners eager to bring to Ohio the firm’s passion for excellence and client service and, initially, a national labor and employment practice group platform. The office has quickly added significant capabilities in areas including government services, business litigation, workers compensation, and health care. The office also provides an entry point for Ohio clients to the firm’s full range of services. We continue to identify like-minded practitioners with an entrepreneurial bent who enhance the Columbus-based team.

Ohio Currents, a dynamic web-based publication of topics of interest to companies doing business in Ohio. The most recent edition of
Ohio Currents focuses on whether an employee maintains an attorney/client privilege in communications with the employee's private attorney even when using the employer's technology for those communications, including a new New Jersey Supreme Court decision on the subject.
